Crestdale Community Project
What is the Crestdale Community Project? Through a grant from Crossroads Charlotte, the Arts & Science Council is partnering with The Light Factory and fiber artist Sunya Folayan to do an art project that will preserve the history of Crestdale community and its people through the creation of art. All of the work produced will be placed in a formal exhibit this winter in various locations of Matthews. Interested in working on the project long-term? We need teenagers to participate in information gathering, Interviewing, and Creating a Documentary Movie that will tell the story of Crestdale and its people.
