What is the Crestdale Community Project? Through a grant from Crossroads Charlotte, the Arts & Science Council is partnering with The Light Factory Contemporary Museum of Photography & Film, the Matthews Community Center, the Crestdale Community Organization, Filmmaker, Dorne Pentes and Fiber Artist, Sunya Folayan to conduct a series of workshops that will preserve the history of Crestdale community and its people through the creation of art. All of the artwork produced will be placed in a formal exhibit this winter in various locations of Matthews. Are you a Crestdale resident who is interested in participating? Please contact Charles Thomas at The Light Factory at 704-333-9755.
