Meet the Dunns!
Roberta and Jay Dunn will delight us with their wit, positive attitudes and touching story of love, devotion and advocacy. Roberta is a transgendered individual who has been married to Jay for over 27 years. Roberta has appeared on the popular morning talk show, Charlotte Talks, has been awarded "Best of Charlotte" by Creative Loafing, and works tirelessly as an advocate for equality and LGBT recognition and rights. Her volunteer work includes making sure local elected officials such as Mayor Anthony Foxx, City Council members, the City Attorney and County Commissioners are informed and tuned in to the Charlotte LGBT community, its needs and, perhaps more importantly, what it offers to our community as a whole.
We are delighted to welcome the Dunns as our guest speakers to break in the new year that promises to be filled with non-stop events you can sink your teeth into.
