Catch the excitement of the 3rd Annual American Indian Heritage Celebration presented by Many Journeys at the Charlotte Museum of History! American Indians have sustained traditions, beliefs, and a record of their past through ceremony, song, dance, art, and oral histories passed down from generation to generation. This celebration has plenty of activities for all ages with educational hands-on crafts, youth targeted tour brochures, free Hoop Dance Workshop by Dennis Zotigh, lectures and presentations about native culture, native artisans, multi-staged performances, and free blood pressure and blood glucose health screenings from Carolina Health Care System. In addition, Native Words Native Warriors, a Smithsonian traveling exhibit from the National Museum of the American Indian, will be on display along with special guest Turquoise Rainbow, performers and artisans from the Navajo Nation
